Introducing a brand-new Commonwealth Five Ounce coin – issued in 2024 to celebrate the iconic St George & the Dragon, synonymous with the Sovereign coin for over 200 years. Importantly, for the first time in the reign, this iconic image is combined with the effigy of King Charles III on a Five Ounce Coin struck in fine silver. The brand-new Five Ounce Coin has been approved by Buckingham Palace for issue, and minted in Five Full Ounces of 999/1000 Fine Silver to an exceptional proof finish.

Impressively, this 5oz Silver coin carries a brand-new interpretation of St George & the Dragon on a large 65.00mm diameter – an iconic image that has featured on precious metal coins throughout the world for centuries since it was first seen on the UK Sovereign in 1817. The new portrayal has been designed by artist Sandra Deiana who has worked for The Royal Mint and has been responsible for work such as the 350th Anniversary Britannia in 2022.

Extremely Limited Mintage

Due to its the tiny mintage of just 199 and magnificent new reverse design, a sell-out is expected soon. The coin comes housed in a deluxe Presentation Case with Certificate of Authenticity. With limited numbers available, a swift response is highly recommended.
